Kindergarten

SISSA has a kindergarten, La SISSA dei Piccoli, for children from 13 months of age. The educational year runs from 1 September to 31 August of the following year.

  • Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30–17:30. Arrival: 7:30–9:30. Departure: part-time, 13:15–14:15; full-time, 15:00–17:30. Attendance must be continuous.
  • Admission: priority is given to “internal SISSA users”, i.e. the children of people with an employment, research or collaboration relationship with SISSA (technical-administrative staff, faculty, researchers, research fellows, scholarship holders, students and collaborators).
  • Call for applications: every year in March a call is published with the admission requirements, SISSA’s contribution rules and how to apply. Applications can be submitted for children who turn 13 months by 31 December. For children who turn 13 months after 31 December, applications can be submitted during the educational year, once the child has completed the 11th month, as set out in the Regulations.
  • Fees: the contribution to the nursery fees for internal users is based on the ISEE certification. Criteria and procedures are published in the Transparent Administration portal, under grants, subsidies and economic benefits.
