The Mathematics Area collaborates with universities and research institutes in Italy and abroad. Partnerships with the University of Trieste support the joint Mathematics pathway, while collaborations with Trieste, Udine and ICTP contribute to education in data science and scientific computing. IGAP, the joint SISSA–ICTP Institute for Geometry and Physics, connects researchers at the interface of the two disciplines. Through MathLab, the Area also works with industrial partners on mathematical modelling and numerical simulation.
